BetOnline is an online sportsbook based in Panama. There are no country restrictions for BetOnline players, meaning that unlike most online sportsbooks, players from the United States are welcome to play. I signed up for an account and made a deposit to fully test out the site.
BetOnline Signup Bonuses
All new players are eligible to receive a one-time, 50 percent freeplay bonus on their first deposit by entering the bonus code NFL16. The maximum amount that can be claimed with the initial deposit bonus is $2,500.
In addition, all new poker players will receive a 100 percent bonus on their first deposit for poker. No deposit code is needed for this bonus, and the maximum that can be claimed with this bonus is $200.
BetOnline has a variety of casino games. The bonus code Casino25 gives customers a 25 percent bonus towards their casino funds on each reload deposit. As another bonus, all casino players will receive a 10 percent rebate on all of their casino play once per month.
There is no limit on how much a player can earn back with the 10 percent monthly rebate. One last casino bonus is automatically given to casino players when they enter the live dealer section of the casino. All new players in the live dealer casino will receive a free $25 to play with.
Minimum & Maximum Wagers
When placing bets using the online software, the minimum bet BetOnline will accept is $1. The minimum bet amount increases to $25 for wagers that are placed over the phone.
The maximum bet amount varies by sport. The largest bets accepted are wagers on the spread of football games. For the NFL, wagers of up to $25,000 on the spread of a game will be accepted, and wagers of up to $15,000 will be accepted for college games.
For NBA and Major League Baseball games, the maximum amount for a single wager is $10,000. All other sports have maximum bet limits that are between $1,000 and $3,000. These limits are on the higher end for online sportsbooks, making this one of the few online options for large gamblers.
BetOnline has a large selection of options for players to deposit money on the site. Most credit and debit cards can be used to make a deposit. This includes Visa, MasterCard, America Express, and Discover cards. One thing to remembers when using a debit or credit card when making a deposit is that the company charging your card is based in Panama. This means many banks and credit card companies will charge your card an additional fee for an international transaction.
I found the easiest method for depositing was to deposit by bitcion. There are no fees with this method, and the minimum deposit amount for bitcoin is $20. When using a credit or debit card, the minimum amount that must be deposited is $25.
Additional deposit methods include money order, bank wire, Skrill, Western Union, Moneygram, Neteller, cashier’s check, and book to book transfer. Skrill and Neteller have the lowest minimum deposit amount at $10 each. Bank wire and cashier’s check have the largest minimum deposit amounts at $1,000 and $1,500 respectively.
Withdrawals & Payout Methods
There are five methods to withdraw money from a BetOnline account. Bitcoin, Western Union, and Moneygram are the three quickest methods and all have a minimum withdrawal amount of $100. The maximum withdrawal for bitcoin is $2,000. Moneygram has a smaller maximum withdrawal limit at $850, and the Western Union limit is just a tad higher at $950.
I made a a withdrawal from the site, once again using bitcoin, and it went through in two business days. However, that is once I had passed the verification requirements. Before a customer withdraws any money, they must verify their identity with the site, which can take several days to complete.
The other two methods for withdrawals are wire transfer and cashier’s check. Cashier’s checks have a minimum withdrawal amount of $500 and a maximum withdrawal limit set at $2,500. The minimum amount being withdrawn to request a bank transfer is $2,500. The most that can be requested through this method $24,900, which is much higher than any of the other options.
Betting Lines & Options
The most notable aspect I noticed of BetOnline compared to other website is how fast they are at posting betting lines. They post their event lines very early and allow the money being wagered to adjust their lines leading up to the event.
Sports bets can be made on both current and future events. It is just as easy to wager on an event taking place within an hour as it is to wager on next year’s Super Bowl.
In addition to sports, BetOnline has wagering options for eSports, entertainment events, and international politics.
Customer service is available 24 hours a day, seven day a week. This includes service by phone, email, and live chat. Customers can receive support in both Spanish and English.
I used the live chat option to test out the customer response time. I was able to get connected to someone nearly instantly, but it took about one to two minutes for each response within the chat.
BetOnline has wagering options available for dozens of horse races every single day. Customers are able to wager on races all over the world, so regardless of what time zone a customer lives in, there are almost always live races taking place that can be bet on.
BetOnline’s casino is powered by Rival Gaming software. This software is common among online casinos that allow U.S. players. This is because most online casino software is not allowed to be used in U.S. friendly casinos.
BetOnline’s slot machine selection consists of 56 games, with nearly two-thirds of them being 3D slots. They also have 17 versions of video poker, 9 variations of blackjack, and an addition 13 table games.
More recently, BetOnline has added games that can be played with a live dealer. It began with just blackjack, but now players can now use live dealers when roulette and baccarat as well. This helps bring the real casino experience to the online world. Even for those who don’t typically play table games, it is still worth checking out BetOnline’s online dealers for the $25 bonus alone.
