West Inactive Cavs v. Nets
December 16, 2009
Delonte West is back on the bench for the Cleveland Cavaliers. West was listed as inactive for the Cavaliers’ game against New Jersey on Tuesday night. This isn’t a real surprise since he has been in and out of the lineup this season while dealing with personal issues. West has battled bipolar disorder and was arrested over the summer on weapons possession charges in Maryland. The case is still pending.
West has played in 16 of Cleveland’s 24 games this season, averaging 6.1 points and 3.1 assists in 20 minutes. He had played in nine consecutive games before Tuesday.
Cleveland didn’t need West to take care of the New Jersey Nets last night as the team pulled away fairly early and took care of business throughout.
