Portland’s Przybilla Hurt

December 23, 2009

The Portland Trail Blazers have been hit by the injury bug yet again, this time losing Joel Przybilla indefinitely due to a ruptured right patella tendon and dislocated patella tendon.  Przybilla went down in the first quarter of last night’s game against the Dallas Mavericks after he went up for a rebound and came down awkwardly on his right leg in the first quarter.

Portland announced that Przybilla will be out indefinitely, leaving them with a big hole down low.  The Blazers are already having to make do without injured center Greg Oden, whose season was lost to a left knee injury.

Travis Outlaw, Patrick Mills, and Rudy Fernandez are three other players who have missed quite a bit of time for Portland this season.  Still, Portland is hanging in there at 18-12 and is in line to make the playoffs.
