Garnett Sits Out Against Pacers

December 23, 2009

Kevin Garnett is out of the Boston Celtics’ lineup with a bruised right thigh so if you are looking for some value tonight with the NBA point spreads then you might want to take a look at the Indiana Pacers.  Rasheed Wallace will take Garnett’s place in the starting lineup.  After having injury problems last year, this is the first game that the Celtics have had to play without their superstar in 2009.

Garnett went to TD Garden for the team shootaround and was going to try to play, but head coach Doc Rivers decided it was best to have KG sit this one out.  Garnett is averaging 15.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game and is the team leader.

Garnett played a total of 66 minutes, 18 seconds in the last two months of the 2008-09 regular season and missed the playoffs with strained ligaments in his right knee so the Celtics are going to want to be cautious with him so he won’t miss out on another playoff run.
