I’m taking the points with CHARLOTTE. The Bobcats got back on track last time out, slipping past the 76ers. They’re now a very solid 7-3 SU and 6-4 ATS at home. Its been the play of their defense that has been getting it done. In fact, the Bobcats allow the fewest points (90.4) in the entire NBA. That number dips to 89.3 here at Charlotte, also the best mark in the league. Tonight, they’ve got the schedule in their favor.

While Charlotte hasn’t played since Saturday, the Nuggets played last night. Note that the Nuggets are 0-2 SU/ATS the last two times that they faced an Eastern Conference opponent, after having played the previous day. Additionally, the Nuggets have been terrible as small favorites. In fact, they’re 0-8 ATS the last eight times that they were favored by four points or less and they lost seven of those games outright.

Yes, the Nuggets are an elite team. However, their 11/27 win over the Cavs shows that the Bobcats are capable of beating top tier teams. The Bobcats are 6-2 SU/ATS on the season when facing a team which allows 99 or more points per game. With a total in the low 200s, its also worth noting that they’re 5-1-1 ATS (6-1 SU!) the last seven times that they played a home game with an o/u line in the 200 to 204.5 range. While I’ll grab the points, I expect the Bobcats to rise to the occasion and to score the outright upset here. *7 annihilator
